Lyn Owers would love to hear from you if
you can shed any light on one of these loose ends
| Joan Taylor née Owers (8 Mar 1925 - ) |
| Q: Is Joan still alive and if so where is she living? |
| Q: What happened to Joan between 1969 and the present? |
| What we know so far... | |
In 1920 Bertie Newman Thomas Owers and his wife Frances Mary had a son, Raymond, in Canterbury and later they moved to the Northwick Hotel, Evesham and Bertie was the hotel proprietor. |
It was here that Joan Owers was born on 8 March 1925. By 1931 Bertie and Frances ran a tobacconist and confectioner's shop near the station in Wimbledon and it is there that the children went to school. |
Joan married Kenneth Horace Cragg Taylor on 31 March 1948. He worked for the Forestry Commission and some time later they lived in York. The last contact with Joan was at her mother's cremation in 1969. We have tried to find out about her whereabouts and have searched the Telephone Directory for the York area and have sent a letter to the Forestry Commission to be passed on. All so far without any success. |
