31. John WALSHAW was christened on 5 Apr 1741 in Silkstone, Yorkshire. He was born about 1741 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. In 1771 he was a Clothier in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. He was named as heir and executor of Joseph Walshaw's will in 1793. Then his grandsons Benjamin and Joseph were to be joint heirs and executors. (These were the two eldest legitimate grandsons). He died about 1810 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. In 1810 he was a Farmer in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. He signed a will on 2 Dec 1810. This Will is mentioned in the disagreement between his two sons in 1818 but no evidence has yet been found of its contents.

John WALSHAW and Ann (Nancy) BEAUMONT lived in Carr Head, Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire between 1771 and 1810. They were married on 24 Sep 1771 in Silkstone, Yorkshire. Ann (Nancy) BEAUMONT was born about 1749. Ann was the daughter of Jonathan Beaumont (1713), a linen weaver of Hoylandswaine and Ann Wolfinden (1723). Jonathan married in the 1730s and had had four children. He was then widowed and Jonathan and Ann Wolfinden had married at Silkstone on 19 October 1745. They were listed as both of Felkirk which is some ten miles from Hoylandswaine. Their children were:- Elizabeth (1746-1747), Ann (1749), James (1752), George (1755), Rachel (1758), Jonas (1760) and Joshua (1765). She was christened on 17 Sep 1749 in Silkstone, Yorkshire. She died about 1818 in Carr Head, Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. The records also show the name as Beaumond.

A few weeks before her marriage to John Walshaw Ann gave birth to a son John. He was brought up as part of John and Ann's family and was later known as John Walshaw. John WALSHAW and Ann (Nancy) BEAUMONT had the following children:
