SIMS was christened on 27 Apr 1781 in Ringwood, Hampshire.
He was born about 1781 in Burley, Hampshire. He bought the house
for £104 in 1836 in Blake's Bargain, Burley, Hampshire. The
house was originally thatched and it was destroyed by fire in the 1980s and rebuilt
with a tiled roof. In 1841 he was an Agricultural Labourer in Burley, Hampshire.
He about 1841 in Burley, Hampshire. He was the first Parish Clerk
of Burley and was paid £3 per year. He signed a will on 17 Aug 1848 in
Burley, Hampshire. All his property went to his wife, Louisa, until
his youngest child, Alfred, should come of age and then the property was to be
sold and one third was to go to Louisa and the rest was to be divided equally
between his children. He died on 22 Aug 1848 in Blake's Bargain, Burley, Hampshire.
A headstone, erected by the villagers of Burley in the churchyard of St. John
the Baptist (not the chapel) reads:-
"To the memory of Wm Sims the first Parish Clerk of Burley who departed
this life Aug 22 1848 aged 67 years.
A noble fellow judgement good and generous thought had he
Intelligence and promptitude beyond his poor degree,
We build this the dying dust and for his soul we pray
That it may from the Lord the just find mercy at that day."
William SIMS
and Mary UNKNOWN were married before 1809. Mary
UNKNOWN died about Mar 1816 in Burley, Hampshire. She was buried
on 26 Mar 1816 in St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Ringwood, Hampshire.
She was buried on the same day that her youngest child was christened. William
SIMS and Mary UNKNOWN had the following children:

32 | iii. | Stephern SIMS was born about 1812 in Burley, Hampshire. He was a forest labourer. He married Rebecca Ball (1812-1835) on 16 March 1830 in Micheldever and they had four children:- Susanna (1830), Martha (1832), Ann (1833) and Ellen (1834). After Rebecca's death he married Sarah Moorman (b.1813 Chillerton, Isle of Wight, d.1890. They had seven children Mary Ann (1842-1923), Edward (1844-1935), Mark (1845-1864), Frank Maurice (1849-1927), Fanny (1851-1853), Phoebe (1854-1878) and Janet (1859-1940). He died on 13 Jun 1883 in Burley, Hampshire. |

lived in Blakes Bargain, Burley, Hampshire between 1841 and 1848.
In 1841 William and Louisa had Tom, James, Pauline, Aaron and Alfred at home.
Louisa BURNETT was born about 1801 in Bashley, Hampshire.
She lived in Bisterne Close, Burley, Hampshire in 1851. Louisa was
a widow and she lived with her sons James and Aaron and two nieces Caroline Penton
(aged 12) and Louisa Sims (aged 7). William SIMS and Louisa BURNETT had the
