51. Sarah Hannah SILVERWOOD was born in Apr 1860 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. In 1881 she was a Cotton Reeler in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. She emigrated in 1889 from Liverpool, Lancashire to Boston, Massachusetts. She stated that she had arrived in 1886 and that Harriet was born in Massachusetts. It is possible that the following journey was a visit home. She arrived on 7 October 1889 on board the "Scythia". Also travelling with her were Charles (5), Harriet (infant) and Amelia Ratcliffe (servant aged 20; her sister Ann's daughter) She boarded the "Cymric" on 29 Sep 1904 in Liverpool, Lancashire. She arrived in Boston on 8 October 1904. She was 44 and an American Citizen. With her were (Joseph) Leonard (aged 6) and Minerva (aged 10). Their last residence had been Mossley and it is probable that she was visiting her family there as their final destination was their home in Fall River. They gave their address as 581 County Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. She lived in 581 County Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, USA in 1910. Sarah was a widow who said that she had arrived in the USA in 1888. All her four children lived at home. She lived in 603 County Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, USA in 1920. Sarah lived with Harriet, Minerva and Joseph. Sarah said that she had arrived in the USA in 1888. She lived in 310 Eastern Avenue, Fall River, Massachusetts, USA in 1930. She lived with Harriet, Minerva and Joseph. She had arrived in the USA in 1886 and the value of her house was four thousand five hundred dollars.

Sarah Hannah SILVERWOOD and Christian DIXON were married about 1882 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. They lived in 599 County Street, Fall River, Bristol, Massachusetts in Apr 1900. They said that they had arrived in the USA in 1887. All their four remaining children lived at home. Christian DIXON was born on 25 Dec 1860 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. He and his twin sister Christiana had been born on Christmas Day; hence the name.They were the children of Henry and Ann Dixon. He emigrated in 1886 from Liverpool, Lancashire to Boston, Massachusetts. He arrived on 2 July 1886 on board the SS Cephalonia. He was 27, married and a spinner. No wife travelled with him.
