18. William KAY was born on 16 Aug 1871 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. He was christened on 23 Jan 1878 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. His sponsor was Augustus Nixon Scott from Hamilton but it was noted that there were conditions to the christening. Was the priest unimpressed that he had been born two weeks after his parents' marriage or unimpressed that it had taken them six years to have the child christened?

William KAY and Ada Blanche HODGSON were married on 19 Apr 1909. William and Ada had no children and William left his estate to his unmarried sisters Caroline May and Ada Edith and this went, on their deaths, to various Roman Catholic Church charities. Ada Blanche HODGSON died about 1941.
