4. Mary Jane Frances (Jane) ROBINSON was born about 1838 in Limerick, Limerick, Ireland. She emigrated on 22 Jul 1865 from London to Auckland, New Zealand. The family sailed from London on the 22nd July 1865 on the Aliquis (1121 tons, Captain John Davidson) with 125 passengers on board. It arrived in Auckland ninety one days later on 25 October 1865.

Mary Jane Frances (Jane) ROBINSON and Charles KAY were married on 31 Jul 1871 in St Francis of Assisi Church, Thames, Auckland, New Zealand. The priest was Father Nivard Jourdan. There were four witnesses to the marriage: Caroline Robinson (b1846), Mary Jane's sister who lived at Shortland, and her boyfriend Robert Kay (b1851) who was Charles' brother, Annie Kay, who lived in Parnell, and William Robinson (b1844), Mary Jane's brother who lived in Shortland. They lived in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand in 1876. Charles KAY was born about 1849. He emigrated on 18 Dec 1854 from Melbourne, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand. Charles was five years old when he left Melbourne on 18th December 1854 bound for Auckland, New Zealand on the ship 'Pirate'. He travelled steerage class with his parents and his siblings Robert and Annie and they arrived in Auckland on 28th December 1854. In 1871 he was a Bricklayer in Shortland, Thames, New Zealand. Mary Jane Frances (Jane) ROBINSON and Charles KAY had the following children:

Caroline May (May) KAY. Caroline May never married but she was left part of her brother William's estate which on her death went to various Roman Catholic Church charities.

Anna Edith (Daisy) KAY was born on 19 Apr 1876 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. She was christened on 5 Jun 1876 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. The witnesses at Anna's christening were: John Robinson from America and Julia Robinson from Thames, New Zealand. The priest was Father John Golden. Anna Edith never married but she was left part of her brother William's estate which on her death went to various Roman Catholic Church charities.
She died about 1954.

David Arthur KAY was born on 18 Dec 1877 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. He was christened on 23 Jan 1878 in Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. He died about 1919. He never married.
