127. Ernest OWERS was born about 1899 in New Southgate, Middlesex. He served in the military on 19 Sep 1915 in Albert, France. Apparently Ernest lied about his age when he enlisted in 1915. Unfortunately his army service papers were destroyed. He was in the Royal Field Artillery No. 103104. He was based around the town of Albert supplying ammunition to the Front. He was awarded the Military Medal on 13 October 1918 which was published in the London Gazette Supplement dated 11 February 1919. Between 1919 and 1964 he was a Railway Worker and eventually an Engine Driver. He died about 1986.
