18. Ann HEPPLESTONE was born about 1832 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. She was christened on 12 Aug 1832 in Silkstone Church, Silkstone, Yorkshire. In 1851 she was a House Servant in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire.

Caroline HEPPLESTONE was born on 30 Apr 1850 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. She was also known as Caroline Armitage in 1861. She lived in Stocksbridge, Hunshelf, Yorkshire in 1871. She was a boarder (with her sister) at the home of Levi Haigh and family In 1871 she was an Umbrella Maker in Stocksbridge, Hunshelf, Yorkshire.

Ann HEPPLESTONE and John ARMITAGE were married about 1852 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. They lived in Fell Lane, Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire in 1861. In 1861, the family lived next door to Ann's parents Joseph and Ruth. They lived in Brick Row, Thurgoland, Yorkshire in 1871. John ARMITAGE was born about 1826 in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. John was the eldest son of William and Charlotte Armitage. William was an Agricultural Labourer and in 1841 he lived with his family in Mustard Hill, Hoylandswaine, close to the Hepplestones. Ann would have met John in the village. In 1861 he was a Coal Miner in Hoylandswaine, Yorkshire. In 1871 he was a Coal Miner in Thurgoland, Yorkshire. He died about 1875. Ann HEPPLESTONE and John ARMITAGE had the following children:
