5. Henry HAYLES was born about 1851 in Newport, Isle of Wight. In 1871 he was a Bricklayer's Labourer out of employ in Newport, Isle of Wight. In 1881 he was a Labourer in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. In 1891 he was a man with "no occupation" in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. In 1901 he was a Carriage Washer in Ventnor, Isle of Wight.
Henry HAYLES and Mary Ann MILLS
were married about 1877 in a non-conformist chapel. Mary Ann was
a widow and she had two children, Robert Taylor (b.1871 Ventnor) and Caroline
(aka Carry; b.1874 Ventnor) They lived in 1 St. Catherine's Place, Ventnor,
Isle of Wight in 1881. Henry and Mary Ann lived with her two children
(now recorded as Hayles) and their two daughters as well as Mary Ann's sister
Emma Mills (b. 1848 Newport; laundress). They lived in Beaconsfield Road, Ventnor,
Isle of Wight in 1891. Henry and Mary Ann lived with her son Robert
Taylor and a family of three boarders. They lived in Cottage next to Clarendon
Buildings, Market Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight in 1901. Henry and
Mary Ann had two boarders. Mary Ann MILLS was born
about 1843 in Newport, Isle of Wight. Between 1881 and 1891 she was
a Laundress in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. Henry HAYLES and Mary Ann
MILLS had the following children:
