18. Ernest HAYLES was born about 1875 in Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight. In 1891 he was an Apprentice Carpenter in Havenstreet, Isle of Wight. In 1901 he was a Black Smith in Havenstreet, Isle of Wight.

Ernest HAYLES and Edith LEAL were married on 25 Dec 1910 in St. Michael's Church, Swanmore, Isle of Wight. Ernest was a blacksmith of Havenstreet and Edith lived in Pitt Street, Swanmore. Her father, James, was a bricklayer and Ernest's father, Robert, was a farmer. The witnesses were Edwin Walter Humber and Charles and Kate Leal. Edith LEAL was born about 1876 in Swanmore, Ryde, Isle of Wight.
