55. John Jeremiah Michael Albert ROBINSON was born about 1868 in Quebec, Canada. In 1881 he was a Printer's Apprentice in Habergham Eaves, Burnley, Lancashire. In 1891 he was a Printer Compositor in Habergham Eaves, Burnley, Lancashire.

in Burnley, Lancashire. Phoebe Ellen SAGAR
was born about 1870 in Burnley, Lancashire. The Sagar Family:-
Phoebe was named after her paternal grandmother. In 1851 her grandparents James
and Phoebe lived at 9 Curzon Street West, Burnley. James was a Bill Poster. He
had five children at home; Sophia (a Power Loom Cotton Weaver), Robert, William,
Sagar (b.1848) and Paul Job. By 1861 they had moved up the road to 3 Curzon Street
West and Sagar and William had followed their sister into the mill as Cotton
Weavers. In 1871 Sagar lived at 7 Thomas Street Burnley with his wife and son.
Sagar was a Bill Poster and his wife, Elizabeth, was a Weaver "out of employ".
Their son, Richard had been born in 1869. By 1881 Elizabeth was at 8 Thomas Street
and was a widow. (Sagar died at the age of 33 in 1880). She had five children
to raise; Richard, Phoebe Ellen (1870), Mary Elizabeth (1872) John (1875) and
Wright (1880). Elizabeth took in boarders but died in 1889 and the children then
stayed in the same house and in 1891 all worked in the mill except Mary (who
was the Housekeeper) and 10 year old Sagar. (Was his name changed after his father's
death?) John Jeremiah Michael Albert ROBINSON and Phoebe Ellen SAGAR had the

George Alexander
ROBINSON was born about 1894 in Southport, Lancashire. George
moved to Bury, Lancashire and became a policeman. In 1926 in Doncaster, Yorkshire
he married Mary Fletcher (b.1900 Duckinfield, Cheshire; d.1960 Salford, Lancashire)
and they had two daughters, Mary (1928-2002) and Beryl (1931-1984). He died
about 1935 in Bury, Lancashire. After his death his widow remarried. |
