43. Henry William HAYLES was christened on 8 May 1859 in Northwood, Isle of Wight. He was born about 1859 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight. He lived in Union Street, East Cowes, Isle of Wight between 1871 and 1881. In 1871, Henry was with his mother Eliza and her husband Robert Cotton. Between 1881 and 1901 he was a Shipwright in East Cowes, Isle of Wight.

Henry William HAYLES and Alice Fanny WHEELER were married about 1881 in a non-conformist chapel at Newport, Isle of Wight. They lived in 9 Jubilee Terrace, East Cowes, Isle of Wight in 1901. Alice Fanny WHEELER was born about 1858 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight. From 1881, Alice's illegitimate child Alfred Walter Wheeler (born 1879) was brought up as one of Henry William's family. In 1881, Alfred was known as Alfred Walter Hayles. Henry William HAYLES and Alice Fanny WHEELER had the following children:

109	i.	Henry John (John) HAYLES was born about 1881 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight. In 1901 he was a Boat Builder in East Cowes, Isle of Wight.
110	ii.	James William HAYLES was born about 1883 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight. In 1901 he was an Iron Shipbuilder in East Cowes, Isle of Wight.
111	iii.	Edward Ernest HAYLES was born about 1885 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight. In 1901 he was an Errand Boy in East Cowes, Isle of Wight.
112	iv.	Lizzie Eliza Alice HAYLES was born about 1889 in West Cowes, Isle of Wight.
