2. Benjamin HAYLES was christened on 21 Jun 1800 in Wootton, Isle of Wight. He was born about 1800 in Wootton, Isle of Wight. Between 1841 and 1854 he was a Druggist (Chemist) in Ealing, London. He lived in Uxbridge Road, Ealing, Middlesex in 1851. Benjamin was a widower and he lived with all his surviving children except Benjamin. To help him with his family his wife's sister, Mary Spencely (unmarried; b.1806 Marylebone) lived with the family. He signed a will on 5 Oct 1851 in Ealing, London. It was proved on 12 July 1854 in London. In the will he left everything in trust for his children equally and trust rules (amounting to 4 pages) for the solicitors who were the trustees.
He also gave:-
to his daughter Ann Hayles - "the gold watch belonging to my late wife"
to his son Benjamin Hone Hayles - "my watch chain and appendages"
to his son James Hayles - "my rings and clothes"
to his son Frederick Hayles - "all my printed books"

Benjamin HAYLES and Ann SPENCELY were married on 5 Nov 1829 in Old Church, St. Pancras, London. They lived in Ealing, London in 1841. Benjamin and Ann and their eldest six children lived with a female servant. Ann SPENCELY was born about 1808 in Marylebone, Middlesex. She died about 1850 in Ealing, London. She died soon after the birth of her last child. Benjamin HAYLES and Ann SPENCELY had the following children:

Benjamin Hone HAYLES was born about 1831 in Ealing, London. He was christened on 29 Jan 1832 in Great Stanmore, Middlesex. In 1861 he was an Assistant Chemist in Ealing, London. He did not live with the rest of his siblings. In 1871 he was a Chemist in Esplanade, Ealing, Middlesex. He lived with his siblings Alfred, Charlotte, Mary and Sarah and their aunt Mary Spencely, an assistant chemist and a female servant. In 1881 he was a Chemist in Broadway, Ealing, Middlesex. He lived with his siblings Charlotte, Mary and Sarah as well as an assistant chemist and a female servant. In 1901 he was a Retired Chemist in Holme Hurst, Hadley Road, Enfield, Middlesex. Benjamin, Charlotte, Mary and Sarah never married and lived together. The three women were "living on their own means".
