103. George DERBYSHIRE was born about 1876 in Heaton Norris, Cheshire. In 1891 he was a Labourer at a Mill in Heaton Norris, Cheshire. In 1891 he was a Railway Labourer in Heaton Norris, Cheshire.

George DERBYSHIRE and Ada MICKLEWRIGHT were married on 4 Jun 1900 in Market Drayton, Shropshire. George and Ada had four children Maud (1901), George Roland (Roland b.1903), Ralph (1905) and Charles (Charlie b.1908). They lived in 14 Farmer Street, Heaton Norris, Cheshire in 1901. Ada MICKLEWRIGHT was born on 22 Jul 1873. Ada's parents were Johanna Micklewright (b.17 October 1852) and (probably) Rowland Higgins (b.27 February 1870). Johanna and Roland married in 1875 and therefore Ada was born before their marriage. Ada came from a large family which always lived at Child's Earcall near Market Drayton.
In 1901 Roland and Johanna lived at Narrow Lane, Child's Ercall and Roland was an agricultural labourer. Ada's siblings were all called Higgins:-
Charles (b.14 June 1875; 1901 lived at home and was an agricultural labourer; in Welsh Fusileers; d.14 June 1917; commemorated on Arras Monument: unmarried), Elizabeth (b.3 September 1876; 1901 a servant for John Slinger at the village school house in Child's Ercall;d.17 March 1929: unmarried),
Esther (b.27 September 1878; 1901 servant for William Smartt, a church of England clergy man in Heaton Norris; d.12 May 1938; unmarried),
George (b.10 October 1881; m. Emily Bowler at All Saints Church, Heaton Norris in 1906; d.1950).

Mary (aka Polly; b.1885; 1901 general servant for William Barnett, a farmer in Child's Ercall; d.1970; unmarried)
Francis (aka Frank; b.1889; 1901 lived at home and was an agricultural labourer; enlisted in Welsh Fusileers but transferred to King's Shropshire Light Infantry; d.7 July 1817; buried in Philosophe, British Cemetery, Mazingarbe). She was also known as Micklewright-Higgins from 1875. In 1891 she was a Domestic Servant for the Jackson family in Lowdley Mann, Market Drayton, Shropshire. George DERBYSHIRE and Ada MICKLEWRIGHT had the following children:
