8. Jane DERBYSHIRE was christened on 4 Apr 1815 in Mill Brow, Cheshire. She was born about 1815 in Mellor, Derbyshire. She lived in Canal Buildings, Marple, Cheshire in 1841. In 1841 Jane and her brother George lived at the Vernons. In 1851 she was a Throstle Spinner in Marple, Cheshire. She was buried on 2 Jun 1871 in All Saints Church, Marple, Cheshire. She died about 1871 in Marple, Cheshire.

Jane DERBYSHIRE and William VERNON were married about 1846 in Marple, Cheshire. Jane was William's mother's niece - that is to say they were cousins. They lived in Queen Street, Marple, Cheshire between 1851 and 1871. On the night of the 1861 Census two of Jane's nieces were staying with her. Jane Ann Derbyshire (aged 18) and Mary Hannah Derbyshire (aged 15) were both Reelers in a cotton factory. William VERNON (son of Thomas VERNON and Mary DERBYSHIRE) was born about 1822 in Marple, Cheshire. Between 1841 and 1851 he was a Boatman in Marple, Cheshire. Between 1861 and 1895 he was a Coal Dealer in Marple, Cheshire. He died about 1895 in Marple, Cheshire. He was buried on 23 Jul 1895 in All Saints Church, Marple, Cheshire.
