36. Arthur James DEARNLEY was born about 1860 in Cawthorne, Yorkshire. In 1881 he was a Labourer at the Coal Pits. In 1891 he was a Beer House Keeper in Leeds, Yorkshire. He died in Dec 1891 in Leeds, Yorkshire.

Arthur James DEARNLEY and Sarah Ann BULLOCK were married about 1887 in Hunslet, Yorkshire. Sarah already had a child, James Robert Bullock (b.1883 Burnley) who was brought up as James Robert Dearnley. They lived in 48 Chapeltown Road, Leeds, Yorkshire in 1891. Also living with the family was a niece aged 21 who was living on her own means. Her name was Annie Kirkham and she had been born in Wigan in Lancashire. There was also a female domestic servant.
After Arthur's death in the autumn Sarah was left a widow with three children to bring up. In 1894 in Leeds she married William Henry Kilner who had been born in Cumberworth in 1860. In 1901 she and William Henry lived at Moorland View, Staincross Common with her son, Isaac, and their children Mary H. Kilner (6), Richard H. Kilner (3) and Alfred E. Kilner (1). Sarah Ann BULLOCK was born about 1864 in Barnsley, Yorkshire. Arthur James DEARNLEY and Sarah Ann BULLOCK had the following children:

Alice Emma DEARNLEY was born about 1891 in Leeds, Yorkshire. She lived in Raw Green, Cawthorne, Yorkshire in 1901. Alice was 10 and was listed as a niece with Horatio and Alice Sales. Perhaps Alice had been named after her aunt (perhaps her mother's sister?) and after her father's death she had gone to live with her aunt Alice and her family. Her husband was a carter.
