William BURDETT and Martha
KAY were married on 19 Nov 1812 in Warrington, Lancashire. It appears
that this was the only Burdett family in Warrington at the time. They lived
in Sankey Street, Warrington, Lancashire in 1841. William and Martha
lived with their children John, Ann and Edward. The family was transcribed as
BURCHETT. William was noted as not being born in Lancashire but the others had
all been born in Lancashire. Martha KAY was born
about 1780 in Tildesley, Leigh, Lancashire. Martha was the daughter
of Zacchaeus Kay and Ann Hope. They had married in Eccles on 15 May 1764 and
their children were christened in Leigh as follows:- John (15 December 1764),
Ralph (20 January 1771), John (28 August 1774), Betty (30 January 1779) and Martha
(15 September 1781). She lived in Stanley Street, Warrington, Lancashire in
1851. She was a widow aged 70 and had two female servants. She was
an Annuitant. She died about 1858 in Warrington, Lancashire. William
BURDETT and Martha KAY had the following children:
