Casson BURDET was born about 1574 in Denby, Yorkshire. He
died on 8 Jun 1657 in Featherstone, Yorkshire. Bartholomew as agent
to Lionel Cranfield who was created Earl of Middlesex in September 1622 at his
estate at Frobisher Hall, Altofts, Normanton, Yorkshire.
Bartholomew settled at Walton and became so rich, probably due to his father's
will, that he was willing to pay to avoid a knighthood from Charles I in the
1630s, due to the expense that it would have caused him.
