to view a picture of the person10. Nicholas BURDET died about 1320 in Rand, Fulnetby, Lincolnshire. Nicholas inherited lands and titles in Lincolnshire from his father and was known as Nicholas Burdet of Rand. The Burdets were responsible for refounding the ancient Saxon church at Rand and it was there that they built the moated Manor House immediately following the anarchy of Stephen and Matilda. Nicholas had a son but the line failed after this.
