174. Henry BARRACLOUGH was born on 1 Nov 1834 in Exley Gate, Denby Dale, Yorkshire. He was christened on 22 Feb 1835 in St. John's Church, Penistone, Yorkshire. Between 1851 and 1891 he was a Fancy Weaver in Denby Dale, Yorkshire. In 1901 he was a living on his own means in Denby Dale, Yorkshire. He died of acute bronchitis on 24 Mar 1907 in Denby Dale, Yorkshire.

BARRACLOUGH and Mary TOWNEND were married about 1857 in Barnsley, Yorkshire.
They lived in Stove End, Denby Dale, Yorkshire between 1862 and 1891.
In 1881, Annie Thickett (Emma's daughter) lived with her grandparents Henry
and Mary. In 1891, Henry and Mary had their grandchildren Mary A and Harry Barraclough
(William Henry's children) living with them. Stove End was, in fact, the address
of a stone built building some two hundred years old at that time. It had been
built originally as a drying shed for the local woollen industry. Later it had
been divided into three dwellings, each with their own front door. By 2003 the
building had been made into one large house with extensive, landscaped grounds
and was on the market for £500,000! Mary TOWNEND
was born about 1828 in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. She lived in
Wood Street, Barnsley, Yorkshire in 1861. In 1861, Mary classed herself
as a widow. Her daughter was known as Emma Barraclough. In 1861 she was a Winder
in Barnsley, Yorkshire. She died of senile decay on 25 May 1908 in
Denby Dale, Yorkshire. Henry BARRACLOUGH and Mary TOWNEND had the
